Just You And The Painting

There's a new art exhibit at the museum made possible by a generous contribution from Maison Edwards. Intimate viewing booths allow a one-on-one experience with a painting. You can see paintings by VanGogh, Turner, Hockney, and Matisse.

It's nice to be able to share art with your kids.  Looks like someone might have some art schoolwork to do.

The serenity of staring at a master's work in peace.

Study guides always help.

Of course, the Art Guard is always there to make sure the paintings are safe.

Some of my favorite artists are represented here...works I'd like to see in just such a setting.
The paintings are:
House in Auvers by Vincent VanGogh
The Riverbank by Henri Matisse (my very favorite painter)
San Giorgio Maggiore by William Turner
Hawthorne Blossom, Woldgate No. 4 by David Hockney
Thanks again, Chuck. I was playing with all sorts of ideas, but what finally put 2 and 2 together was watching a movie about The National Gallery of London set in Wales. Woke up in the middle of the night and knew exactly what to do with the display case. Here's what it looks like in the hallway. I did not show the shop light attached to the garbage can.

All the action figures you all know by now. The ottoman is Barbie. Floor is the board for my son's art portfolio.

  4. Hi P,
I don't believe any museums have this sort of viewing room. Would be great, though. I just got the box from my friend and had the idea to use it for a fun art gallery.
    Your English is superb!!
    love,
