On Not Leaving Well Enough Alone

This little sink cabinet was great but plain.  So now it has a little rod on which to hang the towel.

And a little door.  Just right for tray storage.

Brick Fixation

I got this little sink awhile ago at the Saturday Kiwanis Sale and have been trying to figure out how to "sink" it into some kind of counter.  Since I have been on this Lego jag lately (my son and I made a Tardis...you know, Doctor Who's time machine..the other day) I had the brilliant idea to build a cabinet around it.

We got the idea to use this roof plate but it has a slant to it.  My son suggested that if we canted it a bit we could pull it off.

So, here it is.  As you can tell our Legos are not that pristine.  Took about 4 hours to get the dimensions and spacing so that the sink would align perfectly.  FUN!

Sink is great for bathing baby

and for washing loads of dishes.

A Belated Merry "Little" Christmas and Happy New Year

T'was the night before Christmas
and all through the house
not a creature was
stirring not even

the pianist

or the artist

or the seamstress

the tree was all decorated
with presents beneath

In hopes that good Santa
some more might bequeath

Peace to you this new year and always

The cute gentleman flashing the peace sign is my husband.  The piano, sewing machine, and easel are presents from my nephew Nicholas.  He had used the items in a diorama about "The Glass Castle" by Jeannette Walls for school and bequeathed them to me.  Thanks!  The wonderful Christmas tree is from my mini friend Monika.  Lovely!
