It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere

The poster on the wall reminds our little couple that it's always
5 O'Clock
somewhere.

It may even be 5 o'clock where they are as they
have both just gotten home after a hard day's slog.
And...apparently they don't care for real clocks.

The little hubby brought home festive garlands and
a little tree so they take a little time to put those up.

Looks nice.

Then it's time to sit down and take a load off.
They bring their books to the table as they
always like to read together while they eat.

Must have been a really tough day as they are mostly having
ALCOHOL and some cold meats, cheese and bread.

Extra beer.

Margaritas.

Ahhh, relaxation and togetherness.

Many thanks to my nephew for finding the furniture in this scene. The room box was given to me by my brother and sister-in-law. I had a created what I thought was a boring scene until I got this catalog in the mail from House Industries. They are a design company and worked with Heath Ceramics to make the ceramic clock which I am using as a poster. See the clock information here. As luck would have it...what time is shown on the clock? There was the theme of my post!

Our Small Harvest

These peppers look ripe. They're getting pretty big.

And, look, there's more!

Make sure you have a good foothold before you start cuttin'.

Uh oh.

At least Raccoon is there to pray over him.

After recovering his strength, he harvests the tomato he'll take to the county fair.

Maybe not.

Can't keep a good man down.

Dangerously high, though it is.

A great harvest all in all.  Mr. Tomato Head has survived.

My son Will created these funny photos and I just had to include them in the blog. I think "miniturity" is rubbing off on him.

Laundry Time

"Small" chores....we all have to do them.

Twenty floors up, nice view, new washer and dryer.

The decor may be someone's idea of a joke.

Colossus is happy that she got the large size hangers.

And, it's fun to read while you are waiting. Pretty sure you are not supposed to be sitting on the dryers, though.

Many thanks again to my son for his assistance on this project. He suggested I use the gum containers for something. I thought they looked like a washer and dryer so here's my idea. We both love Legos so it was fun making the controls...also the pipe is supported by Legos. He also made the little hangers in the laundry basket.

The Comedy Duo of Wilde and Wagner

Ever since the new club in town put up this poster the excitement has been building for the return of the great Oscar Wilde and his sparring comedy partner Richard Wagner.

The hostess introduces the pair.

It's a bare bones spot, but aren't some of the best places like that? Not much on decor, but they bring in the best talent. There's a full house tonight.

It's got a nice owner and good drinks.

Wilde says to Wagner..I said we were going to a club not bring your club.

Wilde says to the crowd, "I like Wagner's music better than any other music. It is so loud that one can talk the whole time without people hearing what one says. That is a great advantage."  No wonder Wagner is ready to clobber him.

Gambit is thinking, "I can't listen to that much Wagner (either), ya know? I start to get the urge to conquer Poland."

With all this carrying on, it's good to have a medic in the crowd.

At the end of the night, after they put their weapons down, the talent scout presents them with the trophy for the best comedy act or is that the one that's been around the longest?

Spiderman has been waiting patiently to get a chance to have his book signed by Oscar Wilde.

He rushes up to the podium. Wagner says, "How come no one wants me to sign any sheet music?"

Thanks to my son for aiding and abetting on this one.

"Wood"n't You Want To Live Here?...I "Wood"

Goin' for the natural wood look.

The picture is a little "grainy."

Nice warmth of wood in the kitchen, too.

All set for Kaffeeklatsch with some beignets.

And, upstairs, a purple bedroom.

All homes are better with a chimp who loves ChocoSmoothie.

A big thank you to my sister and her family..my brother-in-law and nephew found the vintage wood furniture at an antique store...for this wonderful birthday present.
Thanks to my son Will for the wood plant pedestals and bedside table. He's quite the connoisseur of wilder wood. He also gave me the MooCow chocolate milk, the Sugar Flakes and the really big sandwich. Scenes are always better if someone "messes" with them a bit. Will added the chimp.

Here's how it all looks when you get a full view.
