"Wood"n't You Want To Live Here?...I "Wood"

Goin' for the natural wood look.

The picture is a little "grainy."

Nice warmth of wood in the kitchen, too.

All set for Kaffeeklatsch with some beignets.

And, upstairs, a purple bedroom.

All homes are better with a chimp who loves ChocoSmoothie.

A big thank you to my sister and her family..my brother-in-law and nephew found the vintage wood furniture at an antique store...for this wonderful birthday present.
Thanks to my son Will for the wood plant pedestals and bedside table. He's quite the connoisseur of wilder wood. He also gave me the MooCow chocolate milk, the Sugar Flakes and the really big sandwich. Scenes are always better if someone "messes" with them a bit. Will added the chimp.

Here's how it all looks when you get a full view.

A Little Aping Around

Sometimes you just can't control your ape. And how is he hanging from his head? C'mon down sweetie.

I could not resist a silly post with the gorilla that came with my new purse. Kipling has a gorilla hanging on each purse...goofy. I took it off but thought it would be funny in a scene.

Vielen Dank Monika!!

Meine Freundin Monika hat mir sehr schöne Sachen geschickt. Hier sind einige davon in eine Szene.
My friend Monika sent me wonderful things. Here are some of them in a scene.

Bringing some beautiful flowers home after a long day at work.
After a long winter some spring flowers will brighten things up a bit.

Ooh, it's late. Time to grab a good book and a little
drinky and take a load off.

Her favorite purple chair awaits.

She looks up...hm, something missing.

Lovely lights would add ambiance.

Perfection. Cheers!

My friend Monika has sent me so many neat things. The chair is from Raine and Willitts Take a Seat and is called the Slope Wingback Chair. I love it..it's purple! She also sent the "pewter" krug and mugs, the little glass mugs, the fabulous midcentury clock, the wonderful purse, the tulips, and the lighting fixtures that really work.

Just look at this chair!

Our Little Library with BOOKS

The sunny library.  With plants galore and an influx of new books.

A great place for brother to help sis work on homework...art no less. Mom is cleaning out the fireplace as it is the first day of spring tomorrow and she is hopeful that she won't need the warmth.

Sis is studying Klimt.

Dad is watering plants.

BOOKS!

Someone put up a new poster.

And after a busy day it is always nice to sit down together and do a little reading.

Oh, did I love making books!! I found book jacket images on the web, mini-sized them and glued them around foam core board. I couldn't stop! Here are just a few examples of some of my favorite ones. I wish my printer printed a little more clearly. Maybe running out of ink. Now I am going to look for more of certain kinds of books...specific ones I love.

Romance in a Japanese Tea Room or Just a Tad Late for Valentine's Day

A Japanese Tea Room is a perfect place for a little romance.

Flowers never hurt either.

It's a beautiful setting.

This scene was inspired by a gift from my sister and her son. They found the pretty "shelf" at Epcot. It's really a fold out card. My sister also gave me the bouquet...it's an eraser. The Maneki-neko (beckoning cat) and dumplings are also erasers.
