The Coffeeteria

The Coffeeteria is a favorite hangout.  It has great coffee and...no cellphones or laptops allowed!

To give credit where credit is due; my son made the carved head dude and drew the very sexy, devilish woman.  And...it was his idea to use the checkerboard for the floor.

Scrappy

Too much work; too little time. But I have these gorgeous scraps and I just wanted a little diversion.

So, here is a tiny scene to highlight them. These are wallpaper and upholstery scraps I found at The Scrap Box. Pretty colors. I got a bunch and am itching to use them but NO TIME.

The Seasons...Summer

Ah, summer! I do love summer. Summer in Greece would be even better. So here is a wonderful room with a glorious view of the Aegean.

Ok, I have used samples from the Shade Store for each of the seasons. I loved this particular one as the design is so cool and it's big. Also got some wonderful sample fabrics from The Scrap Box, the local re-use store that has industrial and other discards. I'll be using them before long.

We raise a glass to all the wonderful people who are my followers, those who have peeked at my posts, and those who leave such supportive comments. I love sharing this fun hobby with you. I love the creativity I see in you. I love the feeling of community you all have created.

The Seasons...Spring

If winter comes can spring be far behind?
Spring, the season of re-birth...or in this case, it seems, birth itself.

Looks like someone wants baby to like cars.

What Beany Wants Beany Gets

Beany of Minis-B-Happenin' commented that she "could curl up here with a throw and a good movie because I'm sure the TV is in the hutch." Well, if Beany wants it, Beany gets it.

The Seasons...Fall

Ahh, fall...here is reality. The days where you can't decide whether to wear your strappy sandals or your boots. The days of the last flowers. The days of bobbing for apples...does anyone do that anymore? And, because memories of summer are still bright in our hearts, there are shells we collected on vacation in the hutch.

This was inspired by the shade store sample, shown here as the area rug, as was my earlier winter post.
And, as they were seasonal colors, I had to include Garfield, one of my son's favorite characters when he was a child, and the black cat eraser he gave me.
