Hunky Dory at 65/Cooking

I love what I call Adventure cooking; the more spices and other weird ingredients, the better. So here's a cute little kitchen all decked out for me.

For Thanksgiving I made Yorkshire pudding. Here is the table all ready.
There are eggs and milk, a whisk, a cookbook, and laptop so I can get the recipe.
I've got a little snack of bread, cheese and wurst.
There's a Corona and a crossword puzzle I am trying to add the last 4 letters to.
No quite sure why the open can of pudding is there; maybe I thought
I needed it for the Yorkshire "pudding,"

Nice sideboard laden with the necessities.

Simple things.

Little fridge and a bulletin board to keep up with life.

Water kettle for the all important coffee making. Spices and cooking tools.

Extra storage.

Fire extinguisher, steps to access hard to reach areas and a recycling bag.

Closer and inside views showing all the cool stuff.

Plates and bowls.

Rolling pin, skillet and serving trays.

Cutlery.

Chopsticks.

Snack drawer with Nestle Crunch and Smarties.

Extra plates.

Camping grill and plate.

Dishes above sink.

Dirty dishes in sink.

First aid kit and plunger under the sink.

Dinner cooking in oven.

Noodles and wine.

Well stocked fridge.

Beer and Coke.

Meat and sausages.

Veggies.

Full pantry.

Toaster.

Espresso maker.

Mixer.

It took me forever to finish this scene. I dithered around trying to make the refridgerator shelves out of Legos as the entire inside is really a big void. I have had the refridgerator since I was about 9 years old and I really love it but I wanted to be able to put things in it and make it look somewhat real. So I was able to make the shelves out of Legos today....finally. The drawers are Re-Ment but they work well here.
The blue and white sideboard and cabinet are German made by Modella (I think). The sink, stove and little cabinet are PlanToys which I painted white. The table and chairs are vintage found for me by my nephew Nicholas. The foods and kitchen implements are Re-Ment, Playmobil, Kaleidoscope House, L'il Woodzeez, Barbie or misc. things from here and there. The whisk, bowl, cookbook and eggs are from my sister Erika.

A Little Inter-Species Camping

Our friend the squirrel has driven through some rough
country to find the perfect camping spot.

He and his friend set up camp.
If only he could get rid of the stupid chin strap!

Sweet little sleeping bag. Looks like Carl has to sleep on the ground.

Carl takes a load off while waiting for dinner to cook.

Gotta watch out for nature.

And what happens when you forget to
put away the food when you're done? Visitors!

Lit by the last rays of the sun and the dying campfire,
the friends lie down for a good night's rest.

My son and I went to Target to check out MiWorld toys. I was ready to buy several but found I was not that excited by the ones they had there. However, they had Li'l Woodzeez by Battat. They are sets with woodland creatures much like Calico Critters. We liked the little squirrel and the camping set. It was the start of this scene. The set is comprised of the items pictured below.

The "Privy"ledge of Having a Private Privy

When you live in the middle of nowhere you are "privy"ledged
to have a privy with a a window wall. SOME outhouse!

This little bathroom has everything...running water and humorous posters,

a flush toilet,

reading material,

first-aid kit,

MC5 poster,

Yikes! "Who" is that peeking in!
Just when a girl needs some private reading time.

Big teaser...he's The Doctor and he lives here!

I am on a roll with minis now. I woke up this morning with a great idea and Labor Day is the perfect day to goof around. I had to make another cabinet for my cool sink...took me forever to get it just the right size. My husband had the idea of making someone peek around the corner and I picked Doctor Who. Again I used something I had never used before...the toilet.
